Holidayguard brings you a complete and thorough Insurance Service through carefully selected Benefits of Cover to cover almost every eventuality, from lost possessions and airport delays to cancellation and injury.
We don't stop there. We want to take all the worry out of your Holiday so that you have the best time possible. However, problems do sometimes occur and you can be sure that we will always be on hand to help wherever possible.
Travellers Tips:
Make sure that your passport is up to date and has enough time unexpired for your trip including any regulation required by the country you are visiting.
Have you applied for and received the correct visa required for your destination?
Have you received the correct vaccinations for the area you are travelling to?
Make sure that all 'Valuables' are covered under your household 'All Risk's' insurance as you are only covered for a limited amount under this insurance. Alternatively, for safekeeping, leave them at home.
Always hire a safety deposit box at your accommodation for any valuables you do take and also your traveller's cheques, money, passports etc.
Always keep your Travel Insurance documents safe and make sure all travellers in your party have access to them during your trip.
Give someone who is staying at home a copy your travel itinerary and insurance details in case of emergencies.
Never leave your luggage or valuables unattended.
Advice on Claims:
If you need to 'Cancel' your holiday, let your Travel Agent or Tour Operator know immediately.
If your 'Personal Possessions' are lost, delayed or destroyed in transit, report this to the airline or Tour Operator Representative and insist on a written report (airlines have an official report form called a Property Irregularity Report - PIR).
If your 'Personal Possessions' are delayed for more than 12 hours, purchase essential items only (see individual schemes for limits) and keep all receipts to support your claim.
Again, if you have 'Personal Possessions' stolen or are lost, please make sure you obtain a written report from the local Police Authority within 24 hours to support any claim.
If you require to claim for 'Delayed Departure', obtain written confirmation from the Airline or Handling Agent at the time.
Claims Conditions:
In the event of you having to submit a claim, please refer to the Insurance Certificate issued for the 'Claims Procedure'.
You are under an obligation, and it is in your best interests to be aware of the following:
Immediately contact the 24 Hour Emergency Medical helpline for their Doctors opinion if:
You are admitted to Hospital or you are anticipating coming home early.
